For some time, Bulgaria has been well known for its ski and summer resorts and the property investment opportunities that they could present, but the country has only recently begun to develop golfing tourism and the property investment opportunities associated with that.

According to many forecasts, in 15 years Bulgaria will have 40 golf courses set up in strategic areas for investors and vacation property seekers. Coastal areas will offer the best of these opportunities because of its climate, the milder weather permitting year-round golfing.

Three famous golfers, Gary Player, Ian Woosnam and Jack Nicklaus are currently involved in designing five major golf courses in Bulgaria.
